Kevin’s piping journey began at the age of 11 with the Colorado Youth Pipe Band in Denver, and he quickly developed into a highly competitive and accomplished musician. Over the decades, he has competed at top levels across North America and Scotland, accumulating numerous titles and recognitions that showcase his technical skill, musical talent and leadership.

Some of his notable achievements include: 

• Grade 2 North American Pipe Band Champions (2002, 2003, 2005) with the Windsor Police Pipe Band, one of North America’s elite ensembles 

• Top 5 Finishes at the World Pipe Band Championships (Grade 2) from 2002-2005 and 2011, including winning piping awards in 2005 and 2011, demonstrating his mastery on the world stage, where he was instrumental in tuning the bands

• U.S. Open, Canadian Champions and Ontario Champion Supreme, multiple times, consistently demonstrating excellence in North American competitions 

• A key contributor to the Windsor Police Pipe Band’s rise, culminating in their promotion to Grade 1 in 2005, including serving as Grade 5 and Grade 4 Pipe Major, leading these band units to victory and promoting their progression through the piping ranks

Kevin’s leadership extended to mentoring young pipers and helping develop competitive pipe bands, always focused on fostering talent and maintaining high standards of musical excellence. Many of these young players have gone on to be contributing members of notable Grade 1 and 2 bands in North America.

Kevin has had many opportunities to perform all over the US, Canada and Scotland. Some notable performances include:

• Boston Marathon Bombing Tribute Fenway Park 2014 (as a member of the Stuart Highlanders)

• One Boston Day: 2024/2025 wreath-laying ceremony
